This feels so validating! I usually struggle to put my finger on things - it's more of an overall sense without concrete evidence. But I noticed right away that folks addressed me differently when I used my male alias, and to test my theory very recently, I sent four realtors two emails about the same property (one from the male account, one from the female). Three of 4 responded to the male alias; not one responded to the female. Disappointing, but not surprising. Thank you again for sharing!
